Emirates Gas was established in the year 1974 through the vision and initiative of the late Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Commencing LPG bottling operations near Dubai Creek in 1974-75, a bigger and modern Emirates Gas bottling plant was set up at Jebel Ali in 1981. Subsequently bottling companies were established in Ajman and Fujairah in 1982 and a distribution centre was opened in Umm Al Quwain in 1990, which is upgraded to a bottling facility today.
The Al Qusais distribution centre for catering exclusively to cylinder distributors in Dubai was opened in 1990, which gave convenient and easy access for the distributors.
The Emirates Gas Aerosol Propellant processing facility was added in the year 1991 to the Jebel Ali plant, which was first in the region, opening up a new markets for Emirates Gas.
Emirates Gas revamped its Jebel Ali plant during the years 2002 -2004 wherein new storage tanks were installed along with creation of additional tanker loading bays, a new cylinder-filling carousel incorporating the latest technology and a modern administrative building.
Emirates Gas was one of the founding members of WLPGA and in 2016, Emirates Gas has joined the membership of WLPGA Industry Council and in 2017 was shortlisted and announced a proud winner to host the World LPG Forum, organized by the World LPG Association, in Dubai in 2020.
